Climate

Korea has four distinct seasons. Summers are hot and humid, while winters are often snowy and cold. During the Congress period in October, Korea has warm,
dry with cobalt blue skies. It is the ideal season to visit Korea.

The average temperature in October is 21.5℃ (70.7℉). The average daily temperature for October 25 - 27 for the past 3 years was 19.5℃ (67.1℉)
with lows at 16.3℃ (61.3℉) and highs 23.1℃ (73.5℉).

Currency and Banking

The official unit of the Korean currency is the Won (KRW). The exchange rate of USD 1 is approximately equivalent to KRW 1,119 (as of 21 July 2017).
Currency exchange is available at banks, airports and major hotels in Korea. ATM services are also available at most hotels in Korea including the Congress venue.
Tipping is not expected in most restaurants and hotels in Korea.

Credit Cards

Most large stores, hotels and restaurants in Busan accept major international credit cards. However, it is advised to carry some cash since certain small establishments and
stores may not accept credit cards.

Traveler's check

Accepted, but may be difficult to change in smaller towns. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travelers are advised to take Traveler's check in US Dollars.

the autumn months (September-November). During this time, the country experiences warm, sunny weather, skies that are cobalt blue and spectacular foliage
that is perhaps the biggest draw. Winters are cold and dry and remain a good time if you are interested in winter sports as there are numerous ski resorts.
Spring (April-May) is also beautiful with all the cherry blossoms in bloom.
